Who's behind this

We measure things for a living. This is the origins door.

Unknown Origin is operated by Code63 Labs, a small US build shop with one house rule: verified at the source, or it doesn't get asserted.

Code63 Labs builds measurement and response systems for local businesses. This door exists because attribution is where measurement discipline dies first: every other number in a business gets reconciled eventually, but marketing spend gets renewed for years on self-graded vendor reports. In a live practice we measure, we watched the raw material of attribution — the spoken "how I found you" — evaporate at the desk daily, the same way a third of handled inquiries lost their next step in the records.

Our bias is archival: the truth about origins is usually already IN a business's records, unjoined. The trace joins it before anyone is asked to buy software.
